[edit] Creating an account
Hi! I see you've been making good, constructive edits at Wikipedia. Let me suggest that you consider creating an account, or at least get in the habit of using the "Edit summary" box when you do an edit. You don't need to put much there-- "copyedit", "sp", "grammar", "typo", "revert vandalism" (usually abbreviated as "rv vandalism")-- although you can write quite a lengthy explanation if you want to.
Here's why. As you've probably noticed, there's quite a bit of vandalism on Wikipedia. When folks go looking for vandalism to clean up, the most likely edits are those made by an anonymous editor (one without an account) and with no Edit summary filled in.
So please consider doing one or the other, or better still, both (but above all, keep up the good work!). If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Happy editing! -- Mwanner | Talk 18:02, 27 September 2005 (UTC)

If you have material that you do not wish for others to edit, or that is otherwise inappropriate for Wikipedia, it should be placed on a personal web site. Many free and low-cost web hosting, email, and weblog services are widely available, and are a good alternative for content unrelated to Wikipedia. You might also want to consider Wikicities for wiki-style community collaboration.
Warning--
Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing constructively. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism. Mikereichold 04:36, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Refrain from adding POV

[edit] C (programming language)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in C (programming language). Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -- ReyBrujo 18:13, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

You have recently vandalized the Wikipedia article Vatsa, and you are now being asked to stop this type of behavior. You're welcome to continue editing Wikipedia, so long as these edits are constructive. Please see Wikipedia's Blocking policy and what constitutes vandalism; such actions are not tolerated on Wikipedia, and are not taken lightly. We hope that you will become a legitimate editor. Again, you are welcome here at Wikipedia, but remember not to vandalize or you will soon be blocked from editing.

[edit] Request for edit summary
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 05:40, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
