The 203 series (203系電車 ni-hyaku-san-kei densha?) is an EMU introduced in 1982 by Japan National Railways for through services between the Jōban Line and Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line.
203 series trains are currently used by JR East on the Jōban and Chiyoda lines, but they do not operate on through services to the Odakyu Odawara Line, as they lack Odakyū train radio and ATS systems.
[edit] Current fleet
As of 2006, there were 17 10-car sets, based at JR East's Matsudo Depot alongside 207-900 series and 209-1000 series EMUs. Withdrawals are expected to start from late 2008 when new E233 series EMUs are delivered.
[edit] Models
203 series trains are available as N-gauge models from Micro Ace.
