What insanities? I critisised only the West, not the authoritarian regime of any country. So you think that freedom of speech only exists in countries once liberated by the Western Powers? Name one and we'll look at their history. As for Iraq, if I were an Arab I'd be a Baathist, that is if I were an Arab, it would make no difference if I were Shia, Sunni, Christain or non-religious. There are reasons for this, but can I vote Baath in Iraq today? The party has been eliminated and forbidden from returning. Now if they are so unpopular, then they won't win any seats, let alone the general election. But despite being a minority, it just happens that there is no larger individual group in Iraq because it is divided down so many lines, more political than secular. That is the cause of todays unrest. Either way, what is the point in suppressing unpopular movement when it is clearly no threat to you? Evlekis 09:26, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
