2014 Winter Paralympics

The 2014 Winter Paralympics will be celebrated in the same city as the 2014 Winter Olympics. The host city will be chosen in Guatemala City on July 4, 2007.

July 28, 2005: Deadline for Host City Nominations by National Olympic Committees (Only 1 per country)

August 16, 2005: Deadline for Candidates to formally accept nominations with acceptance fee ($150 000)

June 21-23, 2006: IOC Decide on Shortlist : Sochi, Salzburg, PyeongChang

January 10, 2007: Candidate Files "Bid Books" due to IOC

Mid February-April, 2007: IOC Visit Candidate Cities

1 month prior to election: IOC Release Evaluation report

July 4, 2007: IOC Vote to Elect the Host city of the Games of the 2014 XXII Winter Olympiad in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
