2011 AFC Asian Cup
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Asian Football Confederation's 2011 Asian Cup finals will be the 15th time the tournament has been held.
Countries that have lodged bids are Qatar, India and Iran. [1] [2]
Australia was considering a late bid[3] but an expected rotation rule will result in the 2011 being ear-marked for a west Asian country.[4]
The host nation will be decided on July 28, 2007, during the 2007 AFC Asian Cup.[2]
The AFC announced that the next host of the Asian Games will be a West Asian nation, then it will be rotated to East Asia for the 2015 Asian Cup.[4]
