The 2007 Universal Forum of Cultures is an international event scheduled to be held in Monterrey, capital city of the Mexican state of Nuevo León, in 2007.

The Universal Forum of Cultures was first held in the Spanish city of Barcelona in 2004. This is an international venue conceived to celebrate culture and to encourage the dialogue between the different peoples of the world. Nuevo León Governor José Natividad González Parás announced in early 2004 his intention to bid to host the 2007 Forum. In September 2004 at a press conference in Barcelona the Forum Foundation officially designated Monterrey as the host city for the 2007 Universal Forum of Cultures (Spanish: Fórum Universal de las Culturas 2007). This event has the support of UNESCO. The Forum Monterrey 2007 will be an 80-day cultural event, from September 20th to December 8th. Some 12 to 15 international congresses will be held, along with 8 to 10 international music, film, TV and performance event; and 8 to 10 exhibitions. The event will promote encounters between Amerindian and Anglo-Saxon culture.

The main objectives of the Universal Forum of the Cultures Monterrey 2007, are the following:
- Dialogue and Reflect with total freedom about the issues that concern the contemporary world.
- Gather together to listen and to try to understand each other and our differences.
- To know the world through multiple perspectives and distinct cultures.
- To generate consciousness and commitment to adopt sustainable ways of life for our planet and our societies.

The main concepts Forum Monterrey 2007 will focus on are:
- Cultural diversity.
- Sustainable development.
- Indigenous Knowledge, This subject is an innovation for the 2007 edition.
- Peace.

The four core themes are going to be approached through dialogues, exhibitions, and cultural expressions.
- Dialogues englobes all the World Congresses, Emblematic Conferences, Debates, and Seminars. They cover a broad spectrum of topics, such as peace and spirituality, education, technology, human rights and justice, natural resources and environment, governance, and development.
- World class Exhibitions are also going to take place at the Monterrey Forum.
- Through Cultural Expressions, the people attending this international event will enjoy the different manifestations of culture from the different corners of Earth, such as theater, dances, concerts, among others.

The Fundidora Park will be the center of the 2007 Universal Forum of Cultures activities. There are also other venues, such as the Teatro de la Ciudad, Auditorio Luis Elizondo, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, among other cultural centers around the Monterrey metropolitan area.
