The 2007 Summer Universiade, also known as the XXIV Summer Universiade, is scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 24th Universiade Bangkok 2007 will be one of the principal events to commemorate the Eightieth Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The King himself is an active and dedicated sportsman who inspired Thai athletes. He was once celebrated as “The Athlete King” for His Majesty had participated in several international sport games himself and he is a great patronage for all sports all these years.
Objektuives
1) To promote and support local and international sports, which will enhance the quality of life to all Thai citizens.
2) To develop and advance athlete’s capability to an international standard.
3) To increase the friendship of Thai athletes and officers relationship with those of all other nations.
4) To present Thailand as one of the ideal country for the Universiade 2007. It is our honor to host all nations and share with the delights of Thai culture.
