The 1st Theater Sustainment Command (1st TSC) is a major support unit of the XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The command consists of the following units:

In October 1950, the 1st Logistical Command was activated as a planning headquarters at Fort McPherson, Georgia. It was deployed to Polters, France in 1951, during the Berlin Crisis of 1951. In 1962, the Command returned to the United States and was assigned to III Corps, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.

On April 1st, 1965, the 1st Logistical Command was deployed to Vietnam. It's mission was to act as the logistics command and control headquarters for all units in the theater. The Command served five years in Southeast Asia, eventually reaching a strength of 50,000 soldiers. The unit received five Meritorious Unit Commendations and three of its soldiers earned the Medal of Honor. In 1970, the Command redeployed to Fort Lee, Virginia, and on December 7 of that year, was redesignated as the 1st Field Army Support Command.

On 22 June 1972, the unit was again redesignated the 1st Corps Support Command and reassigned to XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, North Carolina, it's current duty station. In October 1983, the 1st COSCOM deployed to Grenada in support of Operation Urgent Fury, in support of XVIII Airborne Corps operations. 1st COSCOM also deployed to Panama to support XVIII Airborne Corps in Operation Just Cause, on December 20th, 1989.

1st COSCOM deployed to Saudi Arabia in August 1990 in support of the XVIII Airborne Corps for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, which would become the largest military operation since World War II. Elements of 1st COSCOM deployed in support of Operation Restore Hope, to Somalia, in 1993. Task Force 507 filled over 94,000 Class IX requisitions, demilitarized over 3.5 million weapons and ammunition, logged 610,000 miles, and 10 of its Soldiers were awarded the Purple Heart.

In November 2004 the 1st Corps Support Command deployed to Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 1st COSCOM provided logistics support to Multi-National Corps - Iraq and its Coalition partners. During it's deployment to Iraq, 1st COSCOM was responsible for all logistics movement in Iraq.

On April 16, 2006, the 1st COSCOM was redesignated as the 1st Theater Sustainment Command and reassigned to 3rd Army. The 1st TSC has participated in several hurricane relief efforts throughout the 1980s to the present. Currently, the 1st TSC has soldiers deployed world wide, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Egypt.
