1st Light Cavalry Division (France)

The French 1st Light Cavalry Division was a French Army formation during World War II.

During the Battle of France in May 1940 the division contained the following units:

  • 2 Cavalry Brigade
  • 11 Light Mechanized Brigade
  • 75 Artillery Regiment

It was an active division which existed in peacetime.
