The 1993 UEFA Champions League final was a football match between French club Olympique de Marseille and Italy's AC Milan, played on May 18, 1994 at the Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany.
The first-ever UEFA Champions League final saw Ivorian-born Marseille striker Basile Boli score its first goal at the 44th minute. It turned out to be the only goal of the match, and brought Olympique their first (and so far only) title. Unfortunately, the club and their president Bernard Tapie would later be involved in a match-fixing scandal, which saw them relegated to Ligue 2 and unable to defend the championship the following season.
