[edit] Brazil (film)

Should this 1984 1/2 be included? DrWho42 02:30, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

I think it shouldn't. Many films have similar dystopic themes and I think only the ones that are directly connected to Nineteen Eighty-Four should be included. Brazil (film)#Analysis mentions 1984, but also Star Wars, The Matrix, etc. I haven't seen the film so I'm not absolutely sure, but judging from its WP page, I think it shouldn't be included. --Zoz (t) 14:17, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
I really recommend that you see Brazil.. They were originally going to title it 1984 1/2 stating that it was a satire of that satire, but what with the film-adaptation of the actual book and the Orwell estate not allowing it they had to change it. DrWho42 23:06, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 1985

Based on your opinion above, I've removed '1985' from this template, as the plot doesn't appear to be derived from 1984 (except in the general sense that it's a dystopia set in Britain). --Apeloverage 06:10, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
