1985 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The first edition of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, a long course (50 m) event, was held in 1985 in Tokyo, Japan after discussions between the so called Charter Nations Australia, United States, Canada and Japan determined that an opportunity to come together for a world class competition would benefit the development of the Pan Pacific region and the Charter Nations themselves. The inaugural event took place at the Yoyogi National Olympic Swimming Pool, from August 15 to 18, 1985.
