The 1980 World Sportscar Championship season was the 28th FIA World Championship for Makes. It was a series running under the Group 6, Group 5, and IMSA GTX formulas. These cars usually raced against other classes of cars, although none of these cars were included in the championship. It ran from February 2, 1980 to September 28, 1980, and was comprised of 11 races, including races run with IMSA.
