[edit] Todo

It needs at least a one sentence description of every storm to be a start.--Nilfanion (talk) 09:05, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Freda

Was Typhoon Freda 1962 or 1963? It's listed on both pages. Also, I've seen it commonly spelled "Frieda." Any storm historians have the answer?Bobanny 18:07, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

It's 1962. Where on this page is it listed? I don't see it on here. It is also spelled Freda. Frieda has never been used to name a WPAC storm, though there were two Atlantic storms named Frieda. Hurricanehink (talk) 19:15, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. It's listed in the "1963 storm names" section. The context for spelling it "Frieda" for me is in local Vancouver history - newspapers and such seemed to prefer "Frieda" after it clipped Stanley Park. Then again, they called it Hurricane Frieda half the time too. I've discovered where my confusion comes from. I have a bunch of newsclippings I've photocopied, but most of them were from the clean-up of Stanley Park, which went into the spring of '63.Bobanny 02:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, yea. Freda was on the list of Pacific typhoon names, and the entire list is put in every article. Hurricanehink (talk) 02:52, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Aahh...now I get it!Bobanny 06:58, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
