From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Attention:

This IP address, 192.203.136.254, is registered to College of duPage, and may be shared by multiple users. In the case of organizations using proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.

Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks.

[edit] Last warning

You are not just dealing with a computer here; there are several real human beings (including me) that are removing the nonsense you are adding to the article on Hilbert space. Consider this your last warning; the next time you vandalize a page you will be blocked from editing. Jitse Niesen 13:59, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] WWI spelling "mistake"

I'm not sure if you were kidding about the "unacceptable spelling mistake" you pointed out (and from the all the vandalism warnings this IP address has received, it seems likely). If you were serious, and in fact even if you weren't serious, please try to be respectful of others in your posts to talk pages and criticisms of articles in the future. Take a moment to investigate further before flying off the handle about something so trivial (and, in this case, not a mistake). Kafziel 17:24, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] This IP is from the computer lab in Dupage College

I was at the school library today (at COD) and checked Wikipedia (and this talk page) and saw people's complaints. I always like checking the Wikipedia talk page while on other computers to see what kinds of stuff they've posted (don't ask why, it's just boredom I guess). I would of said something, but with the bad rep that the IP already had I doubt anyone would of beleived me. Anyway, now that I'm home, I thought I'd let you know. --67.163.49.242 06:57, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
