[edit] Hello
Sorry for reverting your changes. I reverted them back after I realized my mistake. --Nevhood 17:54, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. I'll try to be more careful from now on. --Nevhood 18:13, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
I am not certain if your edit at War in Afghanistan 2001 - present was vandalism, the number of casualties was decreased by 5,000. I am sorry if this was incorrect. I did notice that it was sourced, but at the same site that the old number was. Please leave a message on my talk page, here. Thanks!! - Hairchrm 05:12, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh, okay, that makes sense. Thanks a lot for removing that then, that was my error. I just mixed up the versions or something. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for contributing tho Wikipedia!! - Hairchrm 21:10, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome!
Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Real96 06:53, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think it would be wise for you to register for an account, because you will have so many benefits! I could help you with wikipedia if you decide to continue editing as either an IP or a registered user. Real96 07:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- I noticed that you like military history. Well, Wikipedia has a portal devoted to military history if you are interested in joining. Real96 08:13, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Imam Rapito Affair
Your switch of the article from Imam Rapito to Imam Rapito Affair is a fairly extreme example of exactly how an article should not be moved. It's not even that I disagree with the move itself, but there's a right way to move things and that ain't it. "Moving" an article, particularly one as heavily edited as Imam Rapito, by blanking and pasting it into another article is a bad idea because then the new article then has no edit history at all. Please take some time to review Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages. Thanks. Ford MF 11:05, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] War in Afghanistan 2001
Hello, we seem to be in disagreement on the number of casualties for OEF. I'm getting my info from the source I listed, which has been a pretty good source for the Iraq War article. Is there a problem with that source or another issue? Publicus 14:09, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edit Summaries
Please use edit summaries when changing articles specifically links to adjacent articles. Some changes aren't, in fact, vandalism...they are simply retaining the integrity of the article from unexplained changes. Netkinetic(t/c/@) 05:44, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
