1908 Democratic National Convention

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1908 Democratic National Convention was the official political convention of the U.S. Democratic Party in the year 1908. Held at Denver Arena Auditorium in Denver, Colorado, the delegates of the convention nominated William Jennings Bryan of Nebraska for President and John W. Kern of Indiana for Vice President. The event is widely considered a main part of Denver's political and social history, especially as the city will be hosting the 2008 Democratic National Convention (Colorado's official nickname is "The Centennial State").
