18th Street NW (Washington, D.C.)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eighteenth Street Northwest is a prominent north-south thoroughfare in the northwest quadrant of Washington, D.C.. Part of Pierre Charles L'Enfant's plan for Washington, it today forms one of the main streets of the Adams Morgan neighborhood, the other being Columbia Road NW, as well as going through downtown, the Dupont Circle neighborhood, the Mount Pleasant neighborhoods and other areas. Many bars, nightclubs and restaurants are located on 18th Street in Adams Morgan, and on weekends it is frequently congested with cars and pedestrians, especially when bars close.
