187 Lamberta is a large and very dark main belt asteroid. It has a composition of primitive carbonaceous materials.
It was discovered by J. Coggia on April 11, 1878. It was the second of his five asteroid discoveries. It is named after the astronomer Johann Heinrich Lambert.
