[edit] Creating a user account

Hello, all you have to do is click on this link and you'll be able to create the account. If I created it for you, you would not be logged into it. Cheers KOS | talk 16:45, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Ahh, well it appears that your ip address is from AOL, so your ip address will change once you disconnect from your internet, and return. KOS | talk 16:49, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
What I mean is it would be pointless to start that page, because once you leave and return you will have a new one, the only way to prevent this is to create an actual account. KOS | talk 16:50, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes it will, I know that, but since it's a dynamic IP, rather than a part of AOL's proxy pool, it probably won't be re-used for several months, and since there's a bot that blanks un-used IP pages after about 6 months of inactivity, it shouldn't really be a problem--172.130.227.58 16:51, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
  • And now that my browser crashed... new IP already, all that javascript running in the background must have overwhelmed AOL--172.166.96.48 20:13, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
    • If you do not wish to constantly "change" your IP address, you can click the link at Special:Userlogin and create, for example, User:Example. You must have cookies enabled to create a Wikipedian account. —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|-) 22:48, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Many thanks for your work, hope you get this before your ip changes. --Alf melmac 00:42, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
