[edit] A Word
I've been looking at what you're doing.
What you are doing, my friends, is wrong. To recount, all of you little Washington School Children have been taking articles, most likely those which your friends will see when they do research, and vandalising them. Spreading your opinions, such as 'Mrs Hsu is the worst English Teacher ever' on them.
Now, I don't think you may have noticed, kids, but Wikipedia is not your School. Nor is it a Forum. It may purely have been your bad judgement; your school may be painted white and blue, or you may visit an Internet forum that uses a similar template. But the fact is, Wikipedia is not a place for venting your opinions. Wikipedia is meant to be something that everyone will use.
And look at what you've been doing. I notice you most prominently enjoy wiping out large parts of 'To Kill a Mockingbird', abusing the book, the characters, or your English Teacher. You may have an opinion; you may, due to circumstances beyond your control, be unable to actually grasp the meaning of the book; this makes no difference. The best thing about having an opinion is keeping it to yourself; that way, it doesn't hurt anyone, and no-one hurts you with theirs.
I wonder if you've heard of the Rosie O' Donnell 'Ching-Chong' incident? The one where she said on Live Television that Chinese Newscasters dialogue basically consisted of 'Ching-Chong?' When Rosie did that, she was making not only herself look ignorant and stupid, but the whole of America, especially the Audience who laughed. In making slurs against 'To Kill a Mockingbird', perhaps the greatest piece of Fiction that will ever come out of America, you are making not only yourself but your entire school look as if they can't read a book without believing the characetrs to be Homosexuals, and also that they think being a Homosexual is wrong. I'm betting that if you asked people, their honest opinion is that it isn't.
And since when is Atticus Gay? Where does it say that? Have oyu read the book? Do you think the character shows signs of being a Homosexual? It seems that he very much isn't; it looks an awful lot to me like he's trying very hard to raise two children, and help people as a Lawyer. If, indeed, you are using the word 'Gay' to mean 'Stupid' - which, of course, is not what the word 'Gay' means - then I think you haven't read the book at all. Do you have any right to say 'this book is gay' when you haven't even read it? I really think you don't.
But, hey, maybe I'm wrong; maybe you are intelligent. Maybe you can grasp the concept of the book. Why don' you just send me your own ideas in an intelligent way, Hm? As you're so smart. maybe, if you don't like this book so much, you should send me a sample of your own writing, and see if it matches up. That is, presuming you do write anything instead of sitting in front of a screen when you get home.
Then, we could see how you measure up. I suppose that writing a story about racial prejudice and injustice isn't hard to do in America, most especially Washington, but I bet, given the time, one of you kind people could try to write something. And then we'd compare it to Harper Lee's own work.
But, no, I can get the impression form your numerous edits that you don't really like doing work. So...maybe...you could say sorry. You'll notice, when you go to the Article for 'To Kill a Mockingbird', there is a 'Talk' page. Kids, there is still room for forgiveness! If you write a nice apology, tell us why you did those terrible things, everything would be fine. But, right now, you are soiling the image of both your school, your conutry, and your people. And the people at the other end don't like it that much.
Say sorry.
