Chairs Missing (1978) |
154 (1979) |
Document and Eyewitness (1981) |
154 was the third album from the band Wire, completing their transition from the boisterous punk of Pink Flag, via the more accomplished and melodic Chairs Missing into the seminal "art-punk" genre that has led to their lasting influence. The album was released in 1979 on EMI imprint Harvest Records. It was first reissued on compact disc in 1989. First editions of the vinyl album were accompanied by a "free" EP, the tracks from which are included on the Harvest CD, issued in 1994, along with an additional bonus track. The new remastered release, released by Pinkflag (America) as digipacks on April 11, 2006, does not contain any extra tracks, because, according to the band, such additions dishonour the "conceptual clarity of the original statements." link
