152-mm howitzer model 1909/30 (Russian: 152-мм гаубица образца 1909/30 годов) was Soviet 152.4 mm (6 inch) howitzer.

The gun resulted from a modernization of the 152-mm howitzer model 1909, initially designed by Krupp. The central element of the modernization was rechambering for larger propellant charge; some pieces also had their wooden wheels replaced by steel ones with rubber tires, resulting in much higher transportation speed (18 km/h vs 6 km/h).

The howitzer was liked by crews because of its simple construction. On the other hand it had maximum range of below 10 km, too short by the standards of 1930s; elevation, traverse and transportation speed were all insufficient.

By the outbreak of Great Patriotic War the M1909/30 was being replaced by the newer M-10. However the M-10 production rate was slow, so by June 1941 the M1909/30 was much more common[1]. In late 1941 the production of M-10 was stopped. Although from 1943 the M1909/30 was again being gradually replaced, this time by D-1, it was still in service by the end of the war.

A number of guns of this type fell into the hands of Wehrmacht and the Finnish Army. The latter also captured a number of guns earlier, during Winter War.
