[edit] Welcome

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia.

Anyone can edit here, of course, but there are advantages to creating an account if you want to contribute on a regular basis. If you want to join up, create an account and then introduce yourself to the community at the new user log.

You might find these links helpful in creating new pages or helping with the tasks below: How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Naming conventions, Manual of Style. You should read our policies at some point too.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

And once you have an account, you can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.

Here are some tasks you can do:

[edit] the TM page

Hi and welcome to Wiki.

It looks like you are a new user, so I wanted to let you know that discussion of the article actually goes on the discussion page as opposed to into the article. I did not delete your comments, I just moved them to:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Transcendental_meditation

If you would discuss the issues there, and do editing on the page, I believe it would make the process much smoother.

BTW glad you are here. This article needs help~ Sethie 16:24, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Transcendental meditation

Hi there -- I'm back to say that you simply cannot add commentary like that to the article Transcendental meditation -- as Sethie has said. Go to the article's discussion page and talk with other editors about these things there. For more info you can check out Wikipedia's basic policies.

Thanks, BCorr|Брайен 19:20, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] You may be blocked from editing Wikipedia if you continue:

If you continue to make these disputed edits to Transcendental meditation you may be blocked from editing the site. Please seek consensus on your changes before making any more.

Thanks, BCorr|Брайен 20:30, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

I'm here to echo the same sentiment as BCorr. Your editing is disrupting the project. We have talk pages that are intended to handle comments and discussions of articles. Comments about the articles should not be placed in articles. Further, we operate in a collaborative manner which means that we need have a consensus for our edits. Your disregard for the norms and policies of the community is disruptive. Please engage your fellow editors at talk:Transcendental meditation and work towards consensus. -Willmcw 22:11, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR

Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. -Willmcw 22:13, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] you and the TM page

You, like myself are a critic of the TM movement, and you have some valuable information and perspectives to contribute.

However, the way in which you are contributing is just not allowed here on Wiki.... so if you want your information included, learn how to write article style writing, or ask for help.

It's all about stating facts, not your perspective or opinion.

Your activities are likely to generate SYMPATHY for the TM article, and hence TM. I do not believe this is your goal. Please, before posting anymore, talk with me, or another user. Sethie 16:46, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for experimenting with the page Transcendental Meditation on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Kf4bdy talk contribs 18:19, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
