[edit] Legal Threats
Hi. It is inappropriate to edit Wikipedia while making threats of legal action against another user. Any legal proceedings you wish to undertake should be conducted through proper channels and not on Wikipedia pages. As an administrator of Wikipedia, I will block your account if you continue to make threats of legal action against Wikipedia users. Correspondence from your solicitor should be addressed to the Wikimedia Foundation or an individual user and may not be conducted on Wikipedia itself. Regards, The Land 22:54, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- I have blocked this IP for a month for legal threats. --Improv 23:51, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
I understand that even after being blocked, you are continuing to make your legal threats through email. If this can be confirmed, it may be grounds for a permanent ban against any accounts you are using. I strongly urge you to stop making these threats immediately. Read WP:LEGAL. --Yamla 15:11, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked
You have been temporarily blocked from editing because of your disruptive edits. You are invited to contribute in a constructive manner as soon as the block expires. // Pilotguy (Have your say) 22:20, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
{{unblock|This IP belongs to a web-proxy for a multi-national corporation that employs over 100,000 people. While I'm sure that the block was justified, it negatively impacts the those of us that do constructively conbtribute wikipedia from work. Please consider taking this topic of reoccuring abuse with the company that owns this IP.}}
- This IP address appears to belong to Intel. Is that the case? If so, this address should be marked as such. Is this block affecting any signed in users or only people trying to edit anonymously? It's reasonable to block anonymous editors from Intel given the large amount of vandalism originating from here but we should still allow signed-in users. --Yamla 22:47, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

- And being extremely pedantic, Intel apparently "only" employs 99,900 employees, not over 100,000. Not that this is at all relevant. --Yamla 22:48, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
I thought I did a soft block... I'll try again. // Pilotguy (Have your say) 22:57, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Friedman (unit), you will be blocked from editing. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. NSR77 (Talk|Contribs) 22:52, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi. I am the person at Intel who performed the edit to Friedman Unit that was considered vandalism.
I contest the charactarization as vandalism. I cannot find any argument on this page supporting this supposition. I thought that my contribution was helpful by removing quotes that did not resemble the meaning of the "Friedman unit" that the page was about. If this removal was considered vandalism, I would greatly appreciate an explanation of what the proper and acceptable course of action would have been. Vandalism was never my intention.
I would also like to point out that I NEVER made ANY legal threats of ANYONE.
Thank you, and again, I apologize for anything that was interpreted as vandalism. However, it is also more likely that I will simply refrain from editing in the future if my contributions are going to be considered vandalism and legal threats are going to be made against me as a result.
Hopefully I have responded correctly, as I am somewhat confused by this page I am being presented.

- Note to reviewing Admin: I did check out the edit to Friedman (unit), and this editor was correct. The example linked to Senator Lieberman did not come from the cited article, and was correctly removed. Risker 05:29, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
