  • You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. - Dakota ~ ° 07:19, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Please keep in mind that this is the IP address of a university, so it shouldn't be blocked for too long at a time. As Frazzydee pointed out on my talk page, this is some crazy person who is trying to get this IP address blocked. (The reason I'm not logged in right now is so that I can write here from this IP address.) Eli Falk (Talk)

Again?

Come on, let's not start this again. Seriously, why are you doing this? If it's just because you think it's funny to be able to block access for your entire university, then please consider how unfair it is to those at Bar-Ilan who want to contribute to this great resource. If you have a problem with something, why don't you email me and we'll talk about it, but please stop being so immature by trying to block your university. -Frazzydee| 01:38, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Blocking for good

No you won't be blocked for good, only teomprarily. And you blanking the FA, it only lasts for a couple of secods *sigh* -- ( drini's page ) 07:30, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Blocked!

Re this:

You have been blocked for vandalism of Wikipedia, for 24 hours. To contest this block, add the text {{unblock}} on this page, along with an explanation of why you believe this block to be unjustified. An administratior will look over your reason and act accordingly.

Please do not erase warnings on this page. Doing so is also considered vandalism.

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to User:Drini, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. AmiDaniel (Talk) 10:56, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Unblock request

This is a public IP address, used by any person who edits from Bar Ilan University, be it a good-faith editor or vandal. The vandal seems to be trying to get the university blocked, as is clear from his edit summeries.

May I suggest requesting logs from wikipedia, and submitting them to the system administrator? --Spook (my talk | my contribs) 05:40, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Someone has been faking vandal warnings. I removed a fake one from me. Johnleemk | Talk 12:32, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Contacting the system administrator & Some notes

I've contacted the system administrators at the Bar Ilan University and asked them to contact Hall Monitor and resolve the issue. Please note that Bar Ilan University is a community of some 30,000 undergraduate students (+ graduate students + faculty), and I think it would be a good idea to have the issue resolved as soon as possible.

Question: is there a general Wikipedia policy on such a case, when there is one person vandalizing pages on a network shared by thousands of other users? -- M.L. (Talk) (April 18,2006)

Unblock

{{Unblock|The troll was captured, I think no other actions will be done. (BTW, I'm not the blocked user.)}}

rotemlissTalk 16:43, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Well you can apparently edit ok so no need to unblock this on your account. Can you point me to more information concerning the "capture" of the troll? --pgk(talk) 17:12, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
I don't have time to translate this, so you can either take my word for it or consult another Hebrew speaker, but: w:he:ויקיפדיה:התמודדות עם טרולים/המשחית היצירתי - תלונה is the page on the Hebrew Wikipedia devoted to an official complaint lodged against the Bar-Ilan vandal at Bar-Ilan university. It seems that an admin on the WP:he who teaches at Bar-Ilan has identified the individual behind the vandalism from this IP, and has initiated disciplinary action against him for breaking certain university rules of conduct. I'm not up on the details, but I am satisfied that this IP should be unblocked on a trial basis for the benefit of legitimate contributors from Bar-Ilan university, of which there are several. --woggly 19:56, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
