12 Play is the sophomore album released by R&B musician R. Kelly. Released in the fall of 1993, the album established him as a force in the urban music world just as he had left his band, Public Announcement. The album features the unsubtle bedroom anthems, "Bump & Grind" and "Your Body's Calling."
This album was the first of a trilogy albums Kelly later released under the "12 Play" moniker including "TP-2.com" (2000) and "TP-3: Reloaded" (2005).
