Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Jeff Henderson may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. Robojames 19:47, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked
I must ask you to stop adding articles about all the teachers from your school. They are clearly not notable enough to merit their own wikipedia articles. I blocked you from editing for two hours, as that was the only way I found I could make you stop. I'm sorry about that, but hope you will return after the block expires and write about more notable subjects. Thanks. Shanes 21:41, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- After the block expired, the user came back and added three more teachers, all of which are now on the VfD. S/he appears to have stopped now, but the behavior is troubling. I'm not advocating another block, just that we should keep an eye on this user and, assuming the user is willing to work with suggestions, provide nurturing to the user to help the user become a contributor in good standing. Right now, s/he is a simple vandal. --Durin 13:36, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia is a free-content encyclopedia where anyone can edit or create articles, and we would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia so far- we hope you stay! However, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia- all article topics must reach a level of notability or encyclopedia-lity in order to be listed. Thus, that's why some members of the community feel that the articles you created on teachers at DeSalle High School are not notable enough to be in an encyclopedia. If you disagree with that, you may state your reasons at the respective Votes For Deletion page, where the community is voting and trying to come to a consensus regarding whether these articles are encyclopedic or not. Here's a tip (just a handy rule of thumb): if you create an article that you think Encarta would not accept, it's probable not suitable for Wikipedia. However, I do encourage you to be bold and enjoy your time editing! If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me by clicking the "A note?" link at the end of this paragraph and leave a note on that page. Thank you very much, and again, welcome! [edit] Can't delete articles...
It's not obvious, but simply removing the text to an article does not delete it. That has to be done by an admin. I also responded to your question on the DeSales High School talk page. Wikibofh 15:40, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I placed a comment there as well (just giving you a heads up so you see it) --Durin 13:48, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
