[edit] Fair use for Doctor Who and Doctor (Doctor Who)
This image, 10dr19.jpg, is being linked here; though the images contained in the collage are copyright © to the BBC, I (Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 23:22, 31 July 2006 (UTC)) feel they are covered by the U.S. fair use law because:
- The images in question are low-resolution copies of publicity photographs released between 1963 and 2005;
- The images are being used for informational purposes about the lead character ("the Doctor") from Doctor Who;
- The images are significant because they demonstrate the changing nature of the character in the programme's long history;
- The use of the images in these articles will have no effect on the BBC's commercial use of the images in question.

[edit] Licensing
This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit.
The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide evidence of such ownership. Lack of such evidence is grounds for deletion.
