6IX

Historically one of the earlier radio stations in Perth, Western Australia, intially run by W.A. Broadcasters Limited. The official opening of Radio Station 6IX was by the President of the Western Australian Legislative Council Sir John Kirwan, on the 30th November. 1933

Currently it is a joint venture radio station run by Capital Radio Network and Grant Broadcasting. It plays mainly classic songs of the 1950s to 1980s.


In Western Australia, 6IX broadcasts on the 1080 AM frequency. Listeners in Joondalup or Rockingham can tune in at 105.7 FM.
