102 Dalmatians is a 2000 live-action film, produced by The Walt Disney Company and starring Glenn Close as the villainous Cruella de Vil. It is a sequel to the 1996 film 101 Dalmatians, itself a live-action remake of the 1961 Disney animated feature 101 Dalmatians. A video game based on the film also was made called 102 Dalmatians Activity Center. In the film, Cruella de Vil attempts to steal puppies for her "grandest" fur coat yet.
[edit] Plot summary
After three years in prison, Cruella De Vil is released while under the influence of an experimental programme that has altered her so as to make her love animals. Meanwhile, Kevin Shepherd, owner of an animal shelter, has to face that his shelter has fallen on hard times. Kevin gets the idea of bringing his plight to the people through the press, eventually reaching Cruella who wants to become a benefactor.
Unfortunately, the experimental programme with which Cruella has been treated has a few glitches and upon hearing the sound of Big Ben, Cruella reverts to her old ways. Once again, she starts plotting to create the ultimate fur coat. It seems Kevin could be the perfect scapegoat for Cruella to go back into dognapping, and in cahoots with mad fasion designer Monsieur Jean Pierre Le Pelt, she plans to turn 102 puppies into haute couture.
It is now up to Kevin, Cruella's probation officer Chloe Simon and her dog Dipstick, one of the puppies from the original film who has fathered several children by now, to stop Cruella, Alonso, and Le Pelt.
