This isn't exactly what you asked for -- that's beyond my ability -- but this might work.

When placing it on the page, you need to use {{subst:0.5 set nom}} (attention!: {{subst:0.5 set nom}}, not {{0.5 set nom}}). Maurreen 04:32, 11 July 2006 (UTC) I'll try to have a hack at it so it doesn't need substing. Titoxd^(?!?) 05:00, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

It looks like something is wrong. The template is showing a set of brackets instead of reading it as wikifying. Sorry I can't help more. Maurreen 06:00, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

No, nothing's wrong. It's that viewing templates in template namespace produces odd results like that; I've been previewing it in other articles between changes. Nifboy 06:08, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
