[edit] Motto

Is the fact that it's extinct the reason its used for the motto, etc.? - Nik42 04:37, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Probably. The extinct Latin is the most common motto language in the Western world. Also, South Africa has 11 official languages, so if the motto was in one, it would have to have 11. --Taejo 13:25, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] First character

Is the first character of the name of this language a vertical bar or a slash? – Kaihsu 13:07, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

It is a vertical bar. I'll move the page. --Merovingian {T C @} 13:22, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
To be more precise, it's a dental click. --Merovingian {T C @} 13:39, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
