Čeněk of Wartenberg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Čeněk of Wartenberg (German: Vinzenz von Wartenberg) was a commander of the Royalist Bohemian forces at the start of the Hussite Wars. Up until spring 1420 he was a commander of the Utraquist League, a moderate fraction of the Hussite movement. Under the impression of severe atrocities committed by more radical parts of this movement (Taborites), he returned to the royalist/catholic side.
