Øvre Sirdal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Øvre Sirdal is a former municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway. Originally a part of Sirdal formannskapsdistrikt, Øvre Sirdal became a separate municipality in 1905 when Sirdal was split into Øvre Sirdal and Tonstad.

In 1960 Øvre Sirdal was reunited with Tonstad to form Sirdal once again. The village Haughom previously located in Bakke was also added to the new municipality.
