Talk:Óláfr Þórðarson

Why was the article redirected? In normalised Old Icelandic his name is Óláfr Þórðarson, right? // Hunef 130.242.128.85 17:38, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, sure, I've moved it to include the 'á'. But it was never moved before - what I assume you noticed is that I created a redirect at the 'á' variant. The forms Óláfr and Ólafr are both often encountered (and Áleifr for old characters). The modern Icelandic form is Ólafur so at some point the second vowel was shortened, I don't know any details.
