Émile Chartier

Émile-Auguste Chartier, commonly known as Alain (Mortagne-au-Perche, 3 March 1868 - Le Vésinet, 2 June 1951, buried in the Père-Lachaise cemetery) is a French philosopher.

Among his most important publications, there are The Dreamer, 81 chapters about the spirit and passions, About Hapiness, Mars, and The citizen against powers.
