The École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et des Microtechniques (ENSMM) is one of the French "Grandes Écoles" of Engineering (Equivalent Institute of Technology). It belongs to the Polyméca network.

The school was created in 1902 by the Université de Franche-Comté under the name of Laboratoire de Chronométrie. In 1961, it became the École nationale supérieure de chronométrie et micromécanique (ENSCM).

It is located in the city of Besançon in the East of France (4 hours from Paris, 2 hours and a half from Strasbourg and 2 hours and a half from Lyon).

The school educates every year 750 engineers in 5 areas:

Students can choose to spend their last year either at the ENSMM or in one of the schools of the Polyméca network.
