Åsane is a borough of the city of Bergen, Norway. The borough makes up the northern part of Bergen. Åsane was a separate municipality until 1972.
The road connections to Åsane from downtown Bergen is provided by the E16 highway which continues to Arna. The road connection to the northern municipalities in Hordaland is provided by the E39 highway.
If Åsane was to become a city of its own, it would have been the seventeenth largest city in Norway.
Åsane have and have had two famous bands, Salhuskvintetten, and Vinskvetten, formerly known as "Salhusvinskvetten".
