Ålhus

Ålhus is a small village in the municipality of Jølster, Norway. Located on the northern side of Jølstravatnet, between Skei and Vassenden, it is largely agricultural.

Ålhus is the millennial location of Jølster. Audun Hugleiksson erected a stone castle here in the 1200s. Ålhus church, the oldest church in the municipality, is also located here. Nikolai Astrup grew up here.
