Ángel Javier Arizmendi de Lucas (born 3 March 1984 in madrid, Spain), is a professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for Deportivo de La Coruna.

Angel was signed by Deportivo La Coruna from Atlético Madrid for €2 million in December 2005.

He made his La Liga debut for Atlético Madrid in 2004 against FC Barcelona.

In 2003 without playing any football at the highest level Arizmendi was called up to the 2003 Under-20 world youth championships for Spain and was the golden boy after he scored a Quarter Final Extra Time winner against Canada after coming on as a substitute.

In 2004/05 He played a season on loan with Racing Santander.

He made his international debut for Spain in a friendly against England on February 7, 2007.
