(pronounced 'lĕh-'nérd 'skin-'nérd), commonly referred to as Pronounced, is the debut album from Lynyrd Skynyrd, released in 1973 (see 1973 in music). It features "Free Bird", the single that first gave the band national attention and is now a staple of rock radio as well as a rock concert cliché. In 2003, the album was ranked number 401 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
