Zymotic is a game in development by the Alientrap development team. Using DarkPlaces as the engine like their previous game, Nexuiz, Zymotic is a 3D first-person shooter computer game.

The game is planned to be a fast-paced-action single-player game, with a dark futuristic style. While it will not focus on story and cinematic cut-scenes, it will have a developed story line. Zymotic will sport non-linear gameplay in arena-like levels with an emphasis on cooperative play. It will use many advanced DarkPlaces features such as real-time lighting and shadowing, offset maps, and networking.

It has not yet been decided whether it will be released under the GPL, the free software license that Nexuiz and the DarkPlaces engine was released under (although it is very well possible [1]). The game may instead be sold for a small price.
