He was born in Celje, Slovenia in 1963 where he completed primary school and graduated from high school. In 1987, as a student of electronics at the University of Ljubljana he began working at TV Ljubljana, later known as TV Slovenija (part of RTV Slovenija). He was a journalist for the daily newscast and the front man for various informational programmes and documentaries. After receiving an engineering degree, he specialized in science and technology and for several years worked as a journalist, front man, scriptwriter, producer and editor for the educational programmes department. During this time he also produced travel documentaries. In 2001 he inaugurated the establishment of the multimedia centre at RTV Slovenija and was assigned the position of project leader since its inception. He is a member of the OLS (On line service group) at EBU (European Broadcasting Union), where he is also the vice-president of the Teletext group and a member of the Benchmarking group. In addition, he is a lecturer in multimedia at The Institute and Academy of Multimedia - Vocational College of Multimedia in Ljubljana.

He is regularly invited to round table meetings or as guest speaker, discussing the different aspects regarding New medias at University, Journalists association, PR organization, he is or was member of many boards, seminars or delegations in Slovenia and / or EU and also in the Balkan countries.
