[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:625-Reuben.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:625-Reuben.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] License tagging for Image:249-Sproing.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:249-Sproing.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Woody.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Woody.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Your user page
Zmanm407,
I've removed all of the Experiment images from your user page. These images are copyrighted by Disney; Disney owns them. Wikipedia allows copyrighted images to be used in some articles, under a principle known as "Fair Use". You can read about Fair Use here: Wikipedia:Fair use. Our Fair Use guidelines, however, do not apply to User pages. On User pages, we can't use copyrighted images because User pages don't qualify as a Fair Use of copyrighted material. I'm sorry. Might I suggest a link to the article instead of a copy of its contents?
I also had to substitute the templates at the bottom of your user page. One of them included a category, Category:Disney films, which meant that your user page was included in that category. Obviously, your user page is not a Disney film. =) The only way to remove the category was to substitute the template and remove it manually. This means you'll have to update the lists manually when the templates change, but there's not much other choice. Those templates were intended to be placed on articles, not on user pages.
If you have any questions about these changes I've made, please do not hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Thanks, and happy editing! Powers 13:57, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again. You've again placed fair-use images on your user page. That's not allowed, per Wikipedia:Fair use and my above message. Please don't do that. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. Thanks! Powers T 20:39, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Images
Please provide a real source for the images you uploaded. Clearly, you didn't take these pictures yourself. See Wikipedia:Image use policy for more information. Thanks. --Jtalledo (talk) 11:35, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- I have to agree with the editor above, all the Lilo & Stitch experiment images you uploaded are incorrectly tagged, which means they a prone to deletion. I suggest you change the licensing of ALL these images to:
- {{tv-screenshot}}
- {{DisneyCharacter}}
- It is a lot of work, but having all the images deleted is probably not what you want happening. Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 11:58, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- How do I change them.
Please do not upload all images again. That is NOT necessary, you can change the licensing information on the images you already uploaded. Also, the new tag you have been editing is also NOT sufficient. Why not use the one I suggest above? To change it do the following:
- Go to List of experiments from Lilo & Stitch
- Go to Experiment number 1 (I already changed the licensing of the group picture for you)
- Click on the image of experiment number 1
- Click on 'edit this page'
- Replace all text with:
-
- {{tv-screenshot}}
- {{DisneyCharacter}}
- {{tv-screenshot}}
- Save the page and go to the next experiment
Good luck, Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 08:00, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Dear Zmanm407, as you can see some of your images that were still untagged with copyright information will be deleted in some time. I suggest that you also added the tags we discussed to the other images to prevent deletion. I'll see if I can help you with that, but I am not if anyone else then the uploader is generally allowed to change the copyright status. Regards, --Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 07:52, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image problems -- again
Zmanm407, you have not responded to my previous messages about your image use. I've once again had to remove images from your user page, and I am tired of doing so. The images I removed this time were uploaded by you, and most are tagged as PD-self, which is supposed to mean that you created the images yourself. Unless you have evidence that you created all of those "fan experiments" yourself, whicih I strongly doubt, you cannot just claim they are Public Domain and use them freely. We have very strong copyright policies on Wikipedia, and if you continue to ignore them, you are likely to be blocked. Please contact me if you have any questions whatsoever about this message; communicating with other Wikipedia editors is essential to being a good contributor. Thanks. Powers T 12:33, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
I didn't know I needed to respond after you send them, sorry I'm done uploading images for a while anyway. Bye the way can you delete the pictures of me and my friend from Wikipedia.org completely, because if my friend's mom finds out I put up an image of her son she will sue my mom. So please, please, please convince somebody to delete the pictures Zmanm407 and Zmanm407.2 entirely from the site. Or at least convince Kizzle to take it off her page. Thank you and once again I'm sorry.
- I can't find the pictures unless you link them. What you should do is edit the pictures' description pages and put {{db-author}} on each of them. If you need help, link the pictures for me and I can do it, but it's really quite easy. That will tag those images for speedy deletion by author's request. If you have any more questions, please let me know. Powers T 12:37, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you.
[edit] Changing username
I've undone your attempt to change your username by moving your userpage. Moving created a problem, because there was a userpage called "User:Zmanm407 AKA User:StitchFanBoy", but no actual user account attached to that name. You can actually have your username changed, just make a request at Wikipedia:Changing username, following the instructions there. --bainer (talk) 13:19, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:347-Slobber.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:347-Slobber.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Jtalledo (talk) 02:28, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lilo & Stitch images
Look, if you're going to upload images, please read Wikipedia:Image use policy and Wikipedia:Uploading images first. Almost all the images you've uploaded have no source information whatsoever. I've tagged a whole bunch of them pointing this out and they'll be deleted if source information is not provided for them. Below is a list of images I've tagged. Also, please don't upload fan images either, they're unencyclopedic and I've nominated some of them for deletion. Wikipedia is not a web space provider. Thanks. --Jtalledo (talk) 02:28, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:StitchFanBoy.gif
Hi, Zmanm407. Thanks for uploading Image:StitchFanBoy.gif. However, you tagged it as your own work using the {{PD-self}} tag, and claimed you released it to the public domain. That's impossible, because you say in the image description page that you ripped it from a Disney web site. Even if you hadn't gotten it from Disney's web site, you still wouldn't be able to release it to the public domain because it contains an image of a copyrighted character (Stitch). There's even a copyright notice in the image itself! You can't release an image you don't own into the public domain. Please, I beg you, read up on Wikipedia:Public domain, Wikipedia:Images, and Wikipedia:Copyright before uploading any more images to Wikipedia. PLEASE! Powers T 15:27, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
