Ziraldo Alves Pinto is a Brazilian author, comic creator, and journalist born in Minas Gerais on October 24, 1932. He is normally known just as "Ziraldo." He created the non-conformist comic "O Pasquim" during a period of military dictatorship. His children's books have also been the basis of successful animated films in Brazil.
