Zinc nitrate (Zn(NO3)2) is a chemical compound used as a mordant in dyeing.

Conditions/substances to avoid are: reducing agents, organic materials, sulfides, copper, metal powders, heat, flames, ignition sources, cyanides, sodium hypophosphite, tin(IV) chloride, phosphorus, thiocyanates, carbon, and sulfur.
