Zinc is a town in Boone County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 76 at the 2000 census.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 76 people, 31 households, and 23 families residing in the town. The population density was 39.1/km² (101.8/mi²). There were 35 housing units at an average density of 18.0/km² (46.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.37% White, 1.32% Native American, and 1.32% from two or more races. 2.63% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. These statistics are probably influenced by the fact that there is a KKK headquarters in this small town.
There were 31 households out of which 32.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.2% were married couples living together, 16.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.6% were non-families. 19.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.79.
In the town the population was spread out with 18.4% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 25.0% from 25 to 44, 38.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 45 years. For every 100 females there were 145.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 148.0 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $19,063, and the median income for a family was $21,250. Males had a median income of $18,194 versus $16,250 for females. The per capita income for the town was $8,512. There were 33.3% of families and 39.5% of the population living below the poverty line, including 50.0% of under eighteens and 25.0% of those over 64.
