From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Zigmunt Molik was born April 4, 1930 in Kraków, Poland. He is a voice pedagogue, and was an actor in Jerzy Grotowski's Theatre Laboratorium from 1959 to 1984, where he was active in the development of their voice training. This training aims for the releasing of creative energies by freeing the voice, body and breathing from blocks, and finding the unity of the voice and the body.
"The secret lies in the full and clear sound of the voice - as full as possible. It is essential to free and wake up the middle part of the body. Often all parts of the body are separated: the head is separated, the legs... we are locked. As a result of the combination of body and voice exercises we come to a point where the whole organism is active in speaking and singing..."
During and after his work with Grotowski, Molik has held workshops, often named "Body and Voice" all around the world.
