Zhu Junyi (祝均一) (b. February 1951) was a government official in Shanghai, China, prior to his arrest during an investigation into corruption in Shanghai in 2006. He had been in charge of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Labour and Social Security, Shanghai's municipal pension system. He allegedly took bribes and lent money from the pension fund to a company owned by Zhang Rongkun.
Zhu appears also to have obtained 50 million yuan for Qiu Xiaohua (邱曉華)[1], the former director of China's National Bureau of Statistics, which was intended for Qiu's long-time lover. Zhu and Qiu knew one another through businessman and fellow Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) member Zhang Rongkun (張榮坤), another person involved in the pension fund scandal. Qiu and Zhang were close friends as both were CPPCC members. After Zhu and Zhang were arrested, investigators found a ledger kept by Zhu, detailing the allegedly illicit loans he made from the pension fund to various people including Qiu's lover.
